A few years ago, a group of Mississauga teens discussed the pressures of establishing a career as a “creative”. We knew there was a presence of talent coming out of our community, and we also knew that we could help these artists prosper.
Our goal was to support emerging creatives out of the GTA - but at the time, we didn’t have any credibility in the local scene. We realized that if we wanted to help people like us, we would have to justify ourselves as respected tastemakers.
What started as a local “for artists - by artists” magazine, became FRAGMENT RADIO. A space for TeferaBeatz and Bhav_SoGroovy to perfect their crafts. Conversation. Curation. Writing.
FRAGMENT RADIO has three divisions: “MIXES”, curated by us, “WRITTENS” blogged by us, and “THE SHOW”, FRAGMENT RADIO, hosted by - you guessed it, us.
Our passion for discussing music and hip-hop culture has shifted from a hobby to a brand. We want to use our platform to bring attention to artists that deserve to be recognized.
Our takes are uniquely our own, but our inspiration is you.
